English Communication Graduation Presentations at Esumi Memorial Hall （January 30th, 2026）

Fourth year English Communication majors gave their graduation presentations to high school students at Junshin Girls’ High School on January 30th. Three graduating students who had written their graduation theses and presentations in English graciously shared their time with high school students to talk about their experience writing an academic paper and giving a presentation, both completely in English. The event began with third year English Communication majors acting as emcees and introducing each presenter one by one. Presentations on the following three topics were given:
• The Appeal of Washoku – What Makes it Unique
• Finnish Education vs. Japanese Education: A Comparison Based on PISA and Educational Models
• How Types of Language Expressions in Ghibli Movies are Translated into English
High school students then asked questions on the presentations, challenging the university students to fully remember their research.

After the presentations concluded, the 3rd and 4th year university students paired up to speak with the high school students in groups. Discussions ranged from more serious content like using English in academic settings and future career goals to more lighthearted topics like club activities, hobbies, and university life.

Overall, it was a valuable experience for all the students to come together, share their experiences, and learn from one another. This is an annual event that takes place at the end of every fall semester and we look forward to visiting again next year.

江角記念会館における英語コミュニケーション専攻卒業発表会（2026年1月30日）

1月30日、英語コミュニケーション専攻の4年生が、純心女子高等学校の生徒たちに向けて卒業発表を行いました。卒業論文の執筆とプレゼンテーションのすべてを英語で完成させた3名の卒業生が、完全な英語による学術論文の作成と発表という自らの経験について、高校生たちに惜しみなく共有しました。イベントは、英語コミュニケーション専攻の3年生が司会を務め、発表者を一人ずつ紹介するところから始まりました。発表されたテーマは以下の3点です。
